Join us for a crochet journey around the world! We will start in Portugal and learn mosaic crochet with the Portuguese Tiles pattern. Where will we go from there? Who knows! The group will discuss which other projects we want to tackle during the year from the dozen available in the Crochet Journey book. We could make post stitch cables, extended stitches, mandalas, and more! We are aiming to work on four or more of the projects.
Crochet Journey will meet from 6-8pm on the first Wednesday of the month in February, March, April, May, June, August, September, and November. During our gatherings, we will go over any new techniques, troubleshoot difficulties, and have fun crocheting and chatting together.
Class supplies must be purchased from Silk Road Textiles, either in store or through the SRT Online Marketplace. By using our high quality products, you know that you have the right tools and fibers to set you up for success, and we are able to keep our class prices down.
Supplies needed for the first project:
Crochet Journey by Mark Roseboom
Two colors of sport weight or DK weight yarn, approximately 544 yards in each color
Suggested yarn: Kelbourne Woolen Scout, Berroco Modern Cotton DK, Manos del Uruguay Sami
3.00mm or 3.25mm crochet hook
Locking stitch marker
Sign up for the whole year ($125 for up to 8 gatherings) or one month at a time at $25 per gathering. The price of one $25 gathering can be applied to the purchase of the series. If you choose to drop in, you will still need to purchase the book and work on the current project. But you can call ahead (513.541.3700) to see what project we will be crocheting.
