Quilt Finishing School (QFS)

Second Friday of the month, 10:15am - 12:15pm
2024 session dates: 1/12, 3/8, 4/12, 5/10, 8/9, 9/13, 10/11, 11/8
Cost: $25 per meeting or $125 for the entire year

We hear them all the time, and Quilt Finishing School (QFS) can help! QFS is a dedicated time to work on current projects together, share tips, refresh skills, and complete your quilts.

Apparel eXchange of Ideas Studio (AXIS)

First Wednesday of the month, 6-8pm
2024 session dates: 2/7, 3/6, 4/3, 5/1, 6/5, 8/7, 10/2, and 11/6

The Apparel eXchange of Ideas Studio (AXIS) is set to begin its third year! This monthly gathering is designed for apparel sewers to share ideas, troubleshoot tricky bits of sewing, and just spend some time sewing together. The focus of AXIS is apparel sewing (hence the name!), so bring yourself and an apparel sewing project, and be ready to inspire and be inspired!

Overheard at AXIS: "That dress has been completely transformed since you brought it here tonight!" Reply: "That's the magic of AXIS!"

Social Stitching Opportunities

Daytime Social Stitching

Handstitching: 2nd and 4th Tuesday mornings from 10:15am-12pm*
A perfect time to work on UFOs or charity projects, all handstitchers welcome! Hand sewing, knitting, embroidery, crochet, spinning, etc. We ask that you use materials purchased at Silk Road Textiles during these events.

 *Stitch Social and Sip & Stitch are free events for our adult customers. We ask that you work on projects using materials purchased at Silk Road Textiles at these events. Stitch Socials are NOT a class! The facilitator or fellow stitchers may be able to answer a quick question--come have some fun!

 

Machine Open Studio*: 1st and 3rd Wednesday mornings from 10:15am-12pm*

Upcoming dates: 5/1, 5/15, 6/5, 6/19

Bring your sewing machine or use one of ours. We can fit up to six sewists, so give us a call at 513.541.3700 during the week leading up to the open studio and reserve your spot so you don't miss out. You can bring a work in progress or work on a charity project while you are here. We ask that you use materials purchased at Silk Road Textiles during these events.

Silk Road Textiles is open late every Thursday night, and we are happy to host open stitch nights. Bring an idea – bring a project – bring a question – bring yourself! One knitter said, ”It was so nice to sit, chat and knit. Very relaxing. I may have to come in every week!” – Please do; all hand-stitchers are welcome.
